Design Research

Before beginning to design my speaker, I decided to set some ground rules for how the speaker would be designed. I wanted to make a speaker that would not only blend in with an average home environment but additionally look futuristic - seeming as if it were designed on an entirely different planet.

My first step when planning how to design the speaker was to gather information on the different designs of contemporary speakers. For this, I used pinboards on Pinterest to arrange my ideas.
